Okay here is another card I did using some retiring colors and wanted to share with you. Hope your weekend is going well.

okay here is a quickie! I've been busy and then away last weekend and trying to get all caught up... Here is a fun project I showed you part of it before but here are the two I created with a few instructions for you to make it too...
Two stinkin cute huh!!!! These are made from the Two Tags sizzix die, add a handle and the middle piece to complete the box shape decorate and you have a cute favor box... or for a small present.
Cut two old olive tags, then adhere those together with sticky strip over lapping one on the other to create the bottom.
Cut a piece of old olive card stock 2 3/4" X 6 3/4" score along each side @ 1/2" and then turn and score from each end at 2" snip the creases to make the box adhere to the two tags for the front and back.
Cut a piece of old olive 3/4" X 6 1/2" for the handle, attach through the slit in top of tag and hole punch with the 1/16" hand held hole punch to insert brads to connect handle.
Decorate with DSP and anything else you want... Enjoy! Let me know if you have questions....

Here is one more card made from playing with the new Go, Graduate stamp set in the mini summer catalog (page 24). once again I was still using my old school colors... So here is what I came up with (have to admit, the hat idea came from a friend, Thanks Lisa!) the funny part was I thought this is hard to make... That's what Ii get for thinking LOL! The hat is made using the top note big shot die cut it out then put it back on the die the other way to cut the sides off to make it more squarish! yep, that's it... Simple huh! then it is just some paper strips very think and a 1/2 circle over the end of them in the center. Easy~ Peasy, give it a try.
Should have put a pop of color behind and under for a better photo oops, didn't... :)
Here is a little closer view of the feet and gowns.. again Ii did the same thing as yesterday's card with the Bravo Burgundy marker and blender pen so i wouldn't loose detail...
just used markers for the remainder of the shoes and shadows.

Well here is another new stamp set out of the summer mini catalog. We will have grads very soon coming up then summer time fun... So I decided to play a little bit. Joey's not ready for graduation from middle school just yet so I decided to play with a card using my old High School colors, Maroon and White, but in this case Bravo Burgundy, I think it came out simple and cute.... I used a few markers to color in the owl and a few dimensionals to pop it up and here is what Ii ended up with. Very simple layout to mass produce if you needed to.
Ii had to add a bit of color behind the card to take a photo as it was washing out with white on white... :)
Here's a close up of the owl a little bit better to see.
Creamy Caramel, Barely Banana (eyes) Pumpkin Pie (beak) and Bravo Burgundy marker~ but I put the marker on the top of the stamp case and picked it up with a blender pen for a little light look. Tip: remember, the darker the color and the smaller the image detail you will loose detail, so keep it on the lighter side to not loose any detail.... :) Enjoy! thanks for stopping by.
