So yesterday I promised a special something to make you giggle, lets see if it works!
Here is a card and a little gift card holder. The gift card holder instructions are from Melanie Joyner, but she had hers designed with the sailing home stamp set.
I designed this card to be a funny card for a friend. After I saw the little gift card holder on the web, I knew I wanted to make it a matching little cow. So here it is.
I used blends to colors, love the blends, so AWESOME! Granny Apple Green, Purple Posy, Highland Heather, petal Pink, Basic Black Light. I stamped the spots on the card in Gorgeous Grape and they came from the stamp set Love what you do.
The gift card colors are same as the card. The directions from Melanie Joyner were in Cm. Ha I don't do well with those, so I tweaked it a tiny bit. I will share mine after the photo of hers. Thanks you so MUCH Melanie for sharing with us.
If you click on the photo it should enlarge for you. But I will include my measurements below.
Notes:
Base size: 7 3/4" X 6"
Score at 1/2" 3" and 6"
Turn and score at 3 3/4"
you can see by the photo that you also need to score a portion of the bottom near the 3" score line, on that little part score at 3 1/2" as well only on bottom part. You can see from her instructions how to cut it.
For the little flap part, I just measured up 3/4" from the 6" score line made a little dash with my pencil on both sides then the center was 1 7/8" from out side edge. I think that does it for the instructions, any question just ask me.
So the gift card holder is cute, however I found the way I wanted the ribbon to go because of the flap and my oval piece and the bulky from gift card, that it doesn't stay closed tight for me, pops up.
So tomorrow I'm gonna show you a little masculine version of a different gift card holder but it's so cool. you will flip over the inspiration that gave me the idea.. REALLY!!! There is inspiration in all things.. Just have to look outside the box a little bit.
One more photo and that's a wrap!
Hope you have a great day! Enjoy!
