Penguin Case with a Twist/Tweak

Hello Everyone, sorry a little late on post I've been swamped with projects around the house and was too tired late last night. I've got cards to photo but haven't gotten around to it so i will share a card I cases and tweaked for myself. 

First I want to say, I can't find the ladies name I went back and we even had a chat on the card, but it's all done from FB. I'm not sure if the post was deleted or what but I can't find anything on it anywhere. I think the lady was from Canada.

It started with this top card, I wanted to make a birthday card for my downline who LOVES penguins. It's too cute. 

I started with a normal size card and I scored 1/2" all the way around the front of card this created the edge of pool, even though it's hard to see in these photos, then I needed water, I just used DSP as the water, yes it has a pattern but it's the thought! 

I will add here it turned into three cards as I decided I wanted to make two more cards for a few friends... It was too cute not to share it..

HERE IS A LITTLE HELP TO CREATE THIS CARD.

 

 

I used Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for the water.

This card was inspired from a Canadian gal. ( I tweaked it a little bit) 

Cutting & Scoring;
Basic White 5 ½” X 8 ½” score at 4 ¼” Score all edges on front flap at ½”
DSP 3” X 4 ¼” I used Bermuda Bay and Pool Party on these cards
DSP Beach Ball 1” circle Then I used Fresh Freesia Marker to draw lines and dot for ball
DSP Circle is about 2”
DSP Towel I just cut a strip and I think it was about 1 ½” wide, Make the fringed edge, then I set angle and
trimmed off the rest from card I think I started with 1 ½” x 2” to begin…
*** The Umbrella and sunglasses are both from Penguin punch it’s the feet on sunglasses I just trimmed.
*** All the DSP , except for the Pool Party and Bermuda Bay (which is the Pool Water) came from the DSP

Polished Pink Christmas

Happy Tuesday, have a card here that well I don't think it came out as I had it pictured, but it's close...

I'm really not a Pink Person, but the POLISHED PINK is a FAST FAVORITE FOR ME!!!!! How about you? 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So it started with the Sparkle of Season stamp set, as that is my October set I'm making a kit with if you might be interested!  

I have used this Merry Christmas on so many cards! I will share some more soon. 

I used the DSP that has the Pink in it, Whimsy and Wonder Page 25 in the holiday mini catalog Item 156329

I cute the packages out of the DSP the trees I punch with the tree punch and Kind of went from there like a forest of trees then one that was the main Christmas tree. Added some gems and Merry Christmas and there you go. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The start is a Halloween enamel and I colored the purple colored one Pink~ the gems from the In-color gems~ 

The pot for the main tree was just a little square of paper and I trimmed it like that to make the pot~

For A Friend

Good Morning,  I know it's been a month but you know life just takes over and priorities have to be set... Don't get me wrong, my blog is VERY IMPORTNAT to me but health has to come first and spreading myself to thin, like lack sleep, for staying up to late creating and posting that doesn't help me so things have to be put in a better order for me. 

So with that said, just want to add I've been stamping... But to do a blog is a lot of work those who have them hear me.. You make the project or card then photo, edit photos, watermark said photos then upload, then do your post. It takes time. but I'm here today to share a SPECIAL ONE OF A KIND card!  

 

I have a friend, who I met 20 years ago and it all because of Stampin ' Up!!!! Yeppers... So true. But my friend has truly blossomed in the last few years and I'm so happy for her and PROUD of all she has accomplished. She just recently passed her 2 Million in personal sales with Stampin' Up! I wanted to make her something special and hope it had lots of MEANING for her. LOL! I also  WANTED it BIG!!!! and FLASHY and seems like LOTS and LOTS of BLING!!!! Ha, Ha, and of course I was worried with my since of humor she's think it was too CHEESY~ 

So before I give you photos I want you to know the NUMBERS are Retired, but they and the matching Alphabet where and still are one of my all time favorites, I USE OFTEN for personal gifts and home decor making items.. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This was a VERY SPECIAL CARD, and size is big, but just over Letter sized envelope, I had thought I made it to fit! But that joke was on me. I had to make an envelope for this sucker..... These Photos do no do it much justice, but it was Glitter paper all the way!!! and fitting all those 0's on the card, goodness me!  Sadly I forgot to photo the envelope.

She sent me a text the day she got it and was so thrilled!!!!  I'm happy it made her happy and she DID NOT THINK IT WAS CHEESY!

So that was on purpose all the RED in the card.  Just a little funny on the RED thing, my MOM LOVED red, I hated RED, she's been gone now sadly, 19 years, I find myself often picking up RED things I like! LOL, She I'm sure is laughing hard- belly laughs at me over that... 

If you still have either of your parents in your LIFE count yourself lucky~ And HUG the ones you LOVE often!!!
