Woohooo! Happy New Year!!!!!! wishing everyone a wonderful 2023….. I know, I said I wasn’t going to post till Monday, but I came across this guy I made previously so I wanted to post and share both cards. This Woohoo Card was made during last SAB time, the words were from a SAB set, last time. So I remade the card without the words to show the card again but with current items only. Laughing about the Title on this post. I only did that because of the stamp verbiage I used on the card from the stamp set. LOL but it’s also fitting with how freaking cold it was this past few days..

So, one of my amazing abilities at time is to see something and create it, meaning I looked at a card and I wanted to make it but I never looked for directions, I just started out and made it, so when I was designing gnome cards last week for my cards in the mail, I decided to make this card for Blog posting, it’s more work than I would do for card class kits.. LOL! But I know some of you would make them more if you liked and it was easy enough. 

I’m going to get right on with photos as there are a few to give you a good view.

It’ s new one Mango color like the DSP which is from Rain or Shine DSP and yes it’s BRIGHT, AND BUSY, but I thought it would well with this little card and the gnomes and critters. 

I‘M just going to give you my measurements here and you can work from there, but first let me add, that the if you think of this as three little cards clued together you will understand my what I’m saying regarding the DSP, so please make this with card stock first if you are not sure, make a prototype  first like I did (No photo of that’s here though), sorry. 

So we will call this Base card, then middle, and smallest. I hope that helps you… each one has two pieces on front flap because of score for tent shape, and then on in side like we would normally do white or vanilla to write in, you will have to either write inside the upper flap or on the back of hate card, not much space other wise. 

So here we go. 

Base C/S 4 1’4” X 11” score at 5 1/2” and 2 3/4”   top DSP 2 pieces 2 1/2” x 4” , inside on this one is 4”x 5 1/4” 

 

Middle C/S 3” x 8” score at 4” and 2” top DSP 2 pieces 1 3/4”x 2 3/4” , inside piece is 2 3/4” x 3 3/4” 

 

Smallest C/S 6”x 2 1/4” score @ 3” and 1 1/2”, top DSP 2 pieces is 2”x 1 1/4”, inside 2”x 2 3/4” 

I also used the speckled looking DSP same color but a little different it’s not flower paper, but in same package.  

I also colored all the images and the dies on gnomes and fussy cut the other things. 

Milky dot 160582 the mango color on sign and as a stopper inside for the smallest stopper.

Rain or Shine

Hello, here is the silly turtle card I talked about yesterday. I was busy creating gnome cards and using the rain or shine DSP and decided it couldn’t wait I had this idea and there it is. As I mentioned prior I didn’t order the the a stamp set or the dies, so i had to cut them out, I was able to do the turtle using the Stylish Dies and then fussy but the pig and the rain clouds out. 

That  was on the edge of the DSP so it would out great I put it on dimensional  and it pops up to be the stoppers for the folding like card front.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I had to hold down the front edge as it’s been sitting on my desk open so it’s kinda of popping open.

There is two more slightly different angles, its a small card.

Card base is 4 1/4” x  8 1/2” score at 4 1/4” then you can see the angle score is simple and you add your DSP and decorate however you want.

Hello, Happy Hump Day! This is a quickie here post I mean, I got behind in posting so this is a quick catch up here but good news it’s a SNEAK PEEK! And it’s is NOT ONE OF MY CARD FOR JANUARY CARDS in mail. It’s an extra design just because . 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is Mango Melody card stock and new DSP and that cat is too funny, I changed out the heart for a butterfly or a few as you can see. This DSP is Rain or Shine and some cute designs and I did not get the stamp set or dies that go with this paper but as I was designing using this paper and mostly the non animal side, I had to stop and create another card… LOL!

Hi All! I’m pooped today, I think the stress of the Holidays and all the cooking, elf stuff (creating) and all makes me tired. I want to slow it down a little this week, but I didn’t finish all I needed to get done so I am busy bee today and tomorrow with PDF’s and blog posts to stay ahead of the game, HA! You all know I still have not found my balance, so this is gonna be fun or maybe not!

But we will see working my way to the 31st. And that makes 22 years to celebrate with the Mr. Yikes hard to believe it has been that long, 21 years with Stampin’ Up! Okay lets get on with the card and be done for the this post. 

It’s a Sneak Peek, this set is so frighten cute, your going to LOVE IT!!!! I was kinda thinking he’s my little Valentine, but it can be lots of things I even made a baby card with this little dude…  I made a girl too and covered the bow with a ribbon to hide the bow tie, maybe I will share that one soon. Maybe…… 

So this is little owl I created and colored with the blends and mostly used the 500# and a color lifter, to make it look like it does.

So on the inside, I added a small 1/2” strip of the same DSP as the circle on the front. i did not add any sentiment inside, because often I do it before I send off.

Sneak Peek 2023

Hello Everyone, 

I hope you survived this Christmas season, it’s been a doozy here, but that’s not for the blog.  Hope you all had a great one, 

Today’s card I mentioned in my Christmas post yesterday that it was the same design but a little different and a sneak peek, yes it’s almost that time again. Sale a bration is just around the corner and I’m working on a fun PDF for anyone who purchases. I will share more on that later this week. 

So just a few simple things to mention here, my thoughts when I made this card was Celebration for New Years, but with the stamp sets and words etc. It probably best for a Birthday, but the idea is here. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alright remember the curve yesterday, it was Santa and like the belt, but this card is turned sideways and no belt! Lol in my head I was thinking like the curve to be a wire (bird on a wire) but you can see it’s not really a wire there. the third little owl is flying overhead to join the CELEBRATION….. 

On this card like the other card I used DSP but same method. You need to make the it after you cut the curve on the card stock then you can get measurement for the DSP. 

I also made this card so I can show it two ways,  1. You an make it a gift card holder on the inside flap @. Nit gift card just some decorative DSP to highlight inside, see photos below. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The gift card is tucked into the dsp, I didn’t cut a half circle, because as I said before I wanted to showcase it either way.

Ho Ho Ho, sending this Merry Christmas wishes…… We had a lovely day here it’s cold for us but it was nice. Too chilly for me that is for sure! Brrrrr. I believe one more low to the 20s here in Florida then we are back up a little for a week or so. Those who are up North and braving the storms, bless you… I know, I’m not up for it. The snow looks pretty but, just NO!!! 

Okay so I was going to share a pretty Beach picture with my card, but seems I’ve lost it so here is the card instead and instructions or my chicken scratch for the card I made, tomorrow same card different stamp set and SNEAK PEEK….

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There you go.. I will give a few details for you. 

Card base: 5 1/2”x 11” score at 2 1/2”, 6 3/4” 

to get the curve I measured from tip of each corner back to the 1 1/4” mark to and bottom of front panel, then I use the border dies  to get the curve, I also used it on the DSP or in this case the card stock that I ran through the winter embossing folder. 

Gnome dies, and stylish dies for the hat brim to get the cuff part.  Flowers of  home for the little tip for sprig of holly , then some rhinestones, I used very Vanilla and light sponging of crumb cake for the old/weathered look. There HO HO HO came from the paper pumpkin. 

 

Buckle us 1 1/4” x 3” score at 1” you can put it anywhere you want to you can see on the template I made I just taped it but on photos you can see I used liquid glue and yep, had a little overage. LOL Keeping it real here people.

Double Gate Fold

Hello! Are you ready for the big day, we are all getting ready for freezing weather here in Florida~ Ugh! Not excited at all. I’ve got a quick card here for you and I wanted to let you know I will do a few posts for this weekend, because it’s Christmas. But normal post are Monday through Friday. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So as you can see this is a DSP card because of the size 12” in length. but i did card stock inside and on the back for messages and more stability. 

The belly band keeps it closed. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I did not stamp the little girl gnome she is on the DSP I just die cut her out, and added her to my focal  point on the card front, and attached that all to the belly band. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As I note in the last few cards I’ve shared these were made a long bit ago, and I don’t have many notes on them, but I did have my little hand drawn note to share lol.  if you need any help let me know. I didn’t photo the back sorry, but i just put a plain basic white piece on the back center, just like the inside except the back layer is the back side of the DSP not card-stock layer. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The original I saw somewhere when I made this card wanted you to measure down to 2 3/4” before cutting the angle but I didn’t want mine that far down, so I made this one at 2 1/4” so it left pinger pieces of gate for the belly band to sit, more space. 

 

So just in case you can’t in large the photo.

Base size: 5 1/2” X 12” 

Score at 2, 4, 8 10 inches, then measure down 2 1/4” from each upper corner then make a little mark there cut from that point to the top outer edge of the middle of the card. Depending on the side, looking at the photo that would be the 4” and 8” score marks to cut to. From outer edge mark of 2 1/4” Hope that helps.

CHRISTMAS CAKE BOX

I know, I’ve talked about this box before but I wanted to share. Little more about it and this is one I made for the girls at the doctors office along with a gift card.

In this photo you see a completed box and on left top and right bottom, but they are not connected yet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

if you look at the top photo here the box you can see a little better how I cut the tabs off for it to be a horizontal hinge. The tabs are only used in the front part of box to make the corners. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This photo you can see the long section which will become the henge on the box.

You may also notice that there is a little angle on the side  pieces, it just makes for a smoother opening and closing, you do not have to do that, but I have found it makes it a smoother open and close.

Just trying to give you a few more views of the finished box. It really is a simple box you can use for lots of things, and the ideas are unlimited, you can decorate for any occasion. 

I call it a cake box as it was the first item I made it for, I always make 3-D boxes and things. 

CAKE BOX:

Bottom Base 5 3/4”x 8” score all sides at 1 1/2“

 

TOP- 7” X 4 3/4” score all sides at 1” 

You can get one box out of 1- 8 1/2”x 11” piece of cardstock if you do same color bottom and top. 

My suggestion is this first cut he 8 1/2” side to 8” then Tuen and cut at 5 3/4”  (this is your bottom)

The remained piece turn to the 8” side cut the card stock at 7” turn and cut at 4 3/4” (this is your top). 

Decide how you open it and then go from there. Remember it can open either end or side, you just have to adjust it. Enjoy! 

I also made an ornament for it. Still using the north pole Mischief set. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Deckle Dies, and i also used the winter embossing folder on this card and cut my image out and did minimum colors to make them quicker, and get them done, the Merry merry tag is the smallest banner in the Stylish Dies, one of my most used dies. Added some gems and done!

Gnome Tag Fun fold Card

Here we are on Wednesday and Christmas is 4 days away, goodness it’s gone fast, but I’m looking forward to the new year and the new mini catalog and I’ve been designing lots of new fun stuff I can’t wait to share and it’s Sale-a-bration time again starting January 5th. That was my Mom’s birthday. So maybe we will do something special I need to think on it. We are a January Birthday family, Mom’s, my son and mine. Back and middle panel that has DSP on it so you can see it on the front when the card is folded closed. you could choose to decorate this side too if you wanted, but I left mine plain. 

Here are a few details for you. 

Base size:

5 1/2” x 10 3/4” 

Score at 3 1/4” and 6 1/2” 

with it laid out flat you want to measure up from the bottom left,2” make a little mark with pencil. Then you are going to cut from that mark at an angle to the top of the 6 1/2” mark, I forgot to take a photo of my notes with drawing, But look at photos you can do this….. Easy Peasy~!

I used the celebrate with tags die to make the poppy tag for front make sure you only attach on bottom part of tag or you will be sticking it to the next panel.
