Hello! So this card is an old card, and old colors, but I more wanted to share the pattern for the Bee hive since I haven’t share this card with you on the blog. This was a card from when I was off the grid and not posting for a long time. Alright, that’s it just a point of reference the hive is about 2 1/2” at it’s widest and about 2 3/4” long/tall

You might be about to print the first one and use as a pattern? 

But to let you know I drew on a piece of card-stock and then I  used 1/2” circle punch on the Daffodil Delight I cut it out and then embossed it then scored it to make it more realistic and then I sponged it for more depth. 

The card base is regular 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” score at 4 1/4” then I  took one once of the front side 

On the words, I stamped first them embossed.

FlipFlop Pocket Card

Hi Guys! this is a quick post today sorry. I didn’t work this past weekend and I need some down time. Here is a card a made weeks ago, but I’m sharing with you because it’s a fun fold and has Easter Bunny too the DSP is From SAB, but it’s still cute. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Okay you see why it’s flip flop pocket not, flip one side flop the other side to reveal the pocket pullout. I friend help me come up with the name for my design. 

It’s pretty easy to make, just keep in mind the pocket gets sticky.. you must work it, but to seal the pocket use a very thin line of liquid glue it’s much more narrow then tear tape, I really recommend using liquid glue but in a small thing line, keeping it close to the edge to give as much wiggle room in pocket as possible. okay here are sizes, 

Base:

5 1/2” x 11”  score at 4”, and 8 1/16”  

note: I used a 1 1/2” circle punch for half circle for tab pull on pocket pullout. See photos above.

Inside flop- base 7”x 4 1/2” score at 3 1/2”

You can make this piece a tad bit bigger but you must make the 1/2 circle smaller to fit the card 

If you want a larger flop piece you can do 7”x 4 3/4” score at 3 1/2” but remember to use smaller half circle for pull tab area…. 

Inside picket pullout piece is 3 1/2” x 5 1/8” I used 1 1/2” circle punch and the piece to make pull out folded in half and glued to pull out piece.

Ice Cream Gnome

Hello, well goodness end of another week. I have a card today, but to be honest, I love the gnome, the card is okay, but I wasn’t up to it so I will rate it as ok. LOL! I do have another layout idea but it’s not happening now. 

As I mentioned prior I’ve not have had a few days of not feeling well which is a combo of my Meiner’s and  fatigue (that’s a big part of my Meiners as well) I haven’t been getting enough rest, but yesterday I hurt my eye and a weird freak thing, but goodness it’s bothering me and head hurts from my eye hurting. So today you get a cool gnome and a so so card, and I’m also sharing another so so card, but I thought what the heck. These piece here show you a little about the hat/ice cream part of the cone hat. It’s a little tricky but it’s not to hard..

Okay there we go, that’s it for today…. A few things to help if you want to create these items, 

Bunny first as it is faster. The circle is from stylish dies, then I stamped bunny on it partially, I colored with colored pencils a then i stamped and embossed the  word HI. 

The I scored it to resemble a door hanger. 1/2” between scores. 

I was going for a door card, but it’s as far as I got it needs some help, but the bunny part was my main goal! LOL

 

Gnome ice cream hat, it takes the Share a milkshake dies and the gnome dies. 

I used Shimmer white c/s and 2 of the white with the waffle die, one with the crumb cake and make it the cone, then sponge crumb cake to give it depth and accent… The white one will be the bake of the ice cream or a portion of it the other you will open it up and from the center section you will die cut a hat for the gnome, make sire you use the scored side up. You want the hat portion and the white cone/ice cream to match. you can see portions of stuff in that one photo above, you figure out how much you want for the full cone white then you will put hat up through the middle, do not glue it until you have correct size you want, matching to bottom of brown cone. Then trim the top of the hat off and glue or glue then trim.

Okay so this idea came to me and I tried to adapt it to this punch, seems every year at Easter I see a cartoon with the bunny no ears or a bite out of the chocolate bunny who can’t hear well now or the Chocolate Bunny with a bite out of his butt. 

So this is where I started with the idea, now knowing that let’s see if you get it, my husband did NOT! LOL and as I’m deaf I think it’s kinda funny and hits home here. Well on this last photo I think you can see the bunny is embossed, that’s another of the three in the Exclusive kit. And of course one ear has a bite out of it. I also colored the ribbon with the dark flirty Flamingo Blends and it’s roughly 7 inches. 

I used the Alphabet Al a mode dies and Stylish dies for the rabbit to sit on a few layers some of the new DSP and gems. 

The rabbit head and one ear are up on dimensionals and the body is with liquid glue.

inside  white  4” x 5 1/4”

I used a new embossing folder that is also in the Exclusive kit this month. There are three folders in one package all 3D I  used one on the small pice you can only see just above a below the rabbit. You might need to zoom in. 

I also used the Balmy Blue ink pad to stamp a few rain drops and the Mementos Black ink to stamp words and rabbit then colored rabbit with the blends.

A Fish A Wish Card

This card goes with Monday’s Sushi Box, I just switched up the fish colors a little bit and made a card instead of a box.
