WOW! We made it to another Friday. Where is the week’s going it’s crazy how fast it goes. 

Happy TGiF! I have a really cute fun card today. If you have followed me for long you know I have a thing with putting balloons on the animals tails.. LOL! No clue why either but it’s just what happens when I am creating!

So the Balloons and the Pennant are die pieces from the Fun Filled (wagon set). 

I’’m giving you my pattern and showing you a red piece as well, I will tell you here what I started with and you can we my note, keeping it real here. 

I started with a 2 3/4” x 4 1/2” piece in Basic White you know I do patterns like this. 

Then I score every 1/2” to get the seams, to kind of look like Barn/Shed side view. 

That was my original idea, then I created the card around the shed. 

Also a quick note the 2 3/4” was to wide I  didn’t like the 1/4” out there on the end, so I cute it back to 2 1/2” x 4 1/2” to make it even when scored. 

To get the angle I just measured down 1” on the one side then trimmed with the paper trimmer at an angle from that little 1” mark to the edge of the other top side.

Hi! Sorry, I have been down with a stomach flu and man it’s knocked me out of it. I don’t have all my pictures ready for posting. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Group Photo it is hard to get a great shot for you to realize how cool it really is . I‘m  calling this bouncy front card! LOL!  If you mail this is will be extra for the bulk/thickness… Just telling you  now up front.

This kinda of shows you how it sits up on top. The working piece, I will share with you at the end my pattern. I made the Cow card a little smaller, to fit the layered pieces better. I will tell you that the working piece works best when it is close to the size of the front piece  to make it more stable. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Picture doesn’t do it justice. It’s water color paper and I made this for a good friend of mines sister for her 60th. Birthday. I forgot to photo before I wrote inside so you can’t see inside but it’s got let’s eat cake inside of it.

So here is the pattern, this size I used on the Zinnia and the Wagon.  

But I only changed the 4 1/4” size which looking at this photo would be top to bottom the 5 1/2” says the same and you score both ends at the 1/2”, 1”, 1- 1/2” mark .. Remember it is the size of the piece you will put on top of this .

Also a note here*** The wagon card, where you see the DSP is backed with the same size piece of card stock to make it more sturdy. 

This next view isn’t the treated to see the fold but for it to stand up I had to spread it some. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Those end pieces, that first score there, it gets tucked so you make like an accordion for it. I recommend always to check placement, movement before gluing anything in place…

Cutest Cows- Blue Sunflowers BD

Hello Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend, mine was pretty good I got to hang out Saturday with a few of my girlfriends, we had lunch and did a little retail therapy..

So today’s, card is a birthday card for a friend of mine. I know the ribbon is retired, but it’s for a friend, she will not mind at all. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Those centers look a little glowing in this photo to me. they are white sequins on top of light Azure Blend, so they are picking up some color from that.

Okay there you go…  The card base is Balmy Blue, the DSp is Country and the blends on the flowers and leaves.

And L/ Azure on the centers of flowers with the white sequin over that. 

Ribbon as I mentioned is night of navy which is retired.

Hearts & Hugs- Mouse Hugs

5/10/2024 Friday- Makeup! 

So, creating this card, I was limited with my DSP on how I could do what I needed to do for the card, as I haven’t placed my new catalog order and I  was just working with what I had on hand.

I didn’t have any Gray Granite DSP, so i used card-stock and  an embossing Folder, however when I was putting them together I didn’t like the difference in heigh from the C/S to the DSP that’s how I ending up withe white strip to more it gave it a more finished look. Then a little bow, some gems and boom. Here you go. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Colors: Pretty in Pink, Gray Granite, Basic White. I used the exposed Brick embossing folder and I used it on Gray and on White background piece. 

To get the angle on the Gray piece I measured down 1/2” on one side then put it in the paper trimmer and cut from the half inch mark to the top of other side. 

I’ve used this set for several cards this week and might have a few more cards to share this up coming week. Hope you have enjoyed the cards this week. More coming soon.

Alright, there you go that is the fun fold for this posting. If you’re wondering how I made the COW SPOTS, this last photos should explain it fully. 

but just in case I will tell you this is Hearts & Hugs, stamp set these little missing belly pieces are on the other side, when i was putting this stamp set together and pulling out the little belly pieces, my mind went tight to spots or Cow spots, so I  know I wanted to keep these and use them on a card. As you see in the photos I did this on the last card here. 

 

I will give you a few measurements for this card. 

The card base is two pieces. 

1- 4 1/4”x 5 1/2” - you will adhere tow strips to this card base 1”x 4” in size see photos. You MUST attach these pieces, before you all the folded piece. 

1- 4” x 11” score at 2”, 3 3/4”, 7 1/4”, 9” this will get attached to the other base piece. 

Top pieces:

Layer 3 3/4”x 3 3/4” square

White or top piece 3 1/4”x 3 1/4” square 

 

inside white 3 1/4”x 3 3/4” decorate how you like 

DSP 2 - pieces 4”x 1” See photos..

Hi! I made the white card first as I wanted to case a card I saw, but it was with beige, didn’t like that one so I went to Green, and that’s using Shy Shamrock! One of the NEW in-colors.
