Magnolia Birds

Happy hump day! It's Wednesday, my mini vacation has come to an end! Bummer...… Hope your day is going well. This little card was originally going to be for a group of cards I was calling magnolia bird cards (the title) but I changed my mind and that's why your seeing this card now. I'm working on getting final things ready for a retreat in the mail, that will feature the Free as a BIRD stamp set, so keep in mind, if your interested. Si I mentioned before about the magnolia paper and the birds, when I was creating the cards and designing them I used every image the paper has, this was one I wasn't SUPER Excited about, I feel the layout and paper don't jive great and my birds are hidden a bit. They are actually popped up a bit which you can't see in this photo very well. 

But I have lots going on this card, Ribbon, Die cut, birds cut out partially, and blends... As I'm told often, I'm too hard on myself with my cards. LOL!

Bird Feathers

Happy Monday~ 

So I'm away having some fun time for me, no dogs, just the beach and relaxing...  So Thankful Molly is helping me out with my fur babies... 

Today's card is a bird card, say what?? Lol. This month is FREE AS A BIRD set , so I'm gonna be giving you lots of birdie cards.. But have a few cows in the bunch as well... I REALLY LOVE THIS SET, and this one bird for sure, Cow cards are still up there though too. 

This card is actually one the of first I made with this set, so I was just getting warmed up using it, not one of my favorites, but it's a keeper for sure.. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I stamped leaves in Crumb Cake  randomly on the base card. Then attached some DSP, a strip of cardstock for accent and then the main image layered and some linen thread with a little key trinket.. 

The bird is colored using blends, have I mentioned how much I LOVE THEM!!!! They are GREAT... 

That's it for Monday, tomorrow is a cool cow card I made for my Great Niece!! Geesh, that makes me feel OLD......

Make Up Post 4

Thank goodness this is the last make up day! Wow, being behind stinks big time..... 

I hope your enjoying the cards so far and the boxes and bonus stuff. 

This is a card a created when I first got the stamp set, but I will tell you this set is so amazing, I've made so many cards with this set... 

This is a straight forward card, I cut out the bigger flowers after stamping and coloring in with blends to be added to the card for me depth. The white cardstock and the DSP meet in the middle but up together and I used the strip of old olive to hide the seam. But I wrapped the linen thread around the green and made a bow and then attached it to the front of the card. 

The little birds are colored using the blends, love those blends.... If you haven't tried them you should.

Blue Seahorse

Little Birdie for Friday

Hey Everyone! 

Wow!  I can't believe it's already the end of the second week in July!  Where is the time going??

Okay well I decided to give you a little birdie card today with some Magnolia DSP (149484), I've got something big in the works. I'm planning a Retreat in the mail. "All about the packaging"

I've got most of it designed, need to finish up a little but I have the base of the projects planned out. Just need to tweak them and finish some things to go in some of the boxes. 

But more on that in the next week or so. I will be featuring the Free as a Bird stamp set next, and I have planned this retreat around that stamp set, so you will need to already have it or purchase with the retreat. But as I said more on that coming.

This card isn't really hard at all but looks like a SUPER WOW.... I did the base in Whisper White, 5 1/2"X8 1/2" score and fold at 4 1/4"

Then when you have a nice crisp fold line you will take and fold the front corner over towards the fold line to make a little V like, as you can see from second photo. I used a strip along the bottom to add Ribbon to and a little bit of pop. 

The layered Square with Bird is only attach on the  bottom, so it's not stuck to inside piece. inside I did a little DSP and a piece of white for your sentiment. I used Blends to color in the bird and a little light Pool Party for around the image and that's it.

Cow Get well Wishes!!!

Holy Cow, it's a get well card, with Pumpkin pie and Lovely Lipstick, but it works. I also used the Plank embossing folder. @" Circle punch for sentiment and the Starburst punch to layer it. Added dimensional under wording for a little pop. 

Colored the cow in using blends and bam, done... Little white to dot the boots for some fun. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A little fun inside with a layer of lipstick under the white. okay that's it for today, happy Monday and be back tomorrow with some more cows!!!! Enjoy! 

Well Crap on a cracker!

So sorry for the absence, but with these health issues sometimes it's just on avoidable. I had Mon day all ready in the postings from last week and then a few bad days with balance and ear and then it gets put off to post. Sorry. So here is a quick card since todays post is so late. 

This is the new seaside spray cardstock with a simple flower and a little die cut out and of course the perennial essence floral center. add a few vellum leaves and there you go.  Night of Navy ink. 

 

Sigh........

This little guy sure makes you think or looks like what he's saying. After I made the purple posy one from the other day, I thought I needed a more masculine card using this guy. So I went with Gray. and a little DSP.

 I used blends to color the sloth and then sponged the back ground with Balmy Blue to give it a sky feel hanging off the branch. Well that's a wrap on another week, hope you have a great weekend and see you on Monday.  have a special little birdie dropping by. 

Knot Good

Ha ~ Ha  here is another card from these crazy animals in the set Back on your feet.  This is the Giraffe that's got a twisted knot in his neck, not good, or as I like to think it's a great get well soon. the Back ground pattern kind of  like a giraffe's spots, were made from the same stamps as the cow spots last week, from Love what you do stamp set.

Well really no race, but with the little turtle on his back and not his feet. So one more card today from Back on your feet set.

Super cute set with the animals... This card is featuring the new Blend colors So Saffron and Pretty Peacock.  pretty nice combo. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Added a little in color Dsp and some ribbon a little di for the sentiment and there you go.
