Card Swaps 1

So even though I haven’t been blogging,  I have been stamping most of the time. Unless I am unable to. 

I did a swap with a group of Stampin Up! Ladies for the NEW Mini that came out in January, and ends in April. I know a little late here! LOL. 

There are 4 of us in the group and not sure why but we changed up the number for swap to 3 cards, I’m gonna break it up for you to see the next few days. I will share a group photo then single photo each post. Last one is a pocket/gift card holder. I will show photo with instruction for you but that is the 3rd. So this is card one, we kept them pretty simple. It seems to be the plan this year, keeping things simple…

Zany Zoo- Raccoon Balloons

Well it took FOREVER TO GET HERE, but we will see if i can wrap these last two days up quickly. 

This card is a simple DSP card, I’ve shared some before this Zany Zoo is so cool, and the DSP is one of the ones on sale right now for 15% off you should take advantage of that you can make so many cards with the little critters, they are partially colored and you can use as is or color more if you want with the blends. Okay there you go! A simple card, DSP raccoon, couple circles and then the DSP, Ribbon and a few gems along with words and BOOM! Done… I’m telling you this is fun fun fun DSP to work with.

Hello, I’m getting there with the catch up I didn’t make it by the 31st. like I had hoped but it will be caught up in the next two days for sure. I’m struggling with a swollen foot so working while I keep it up and icing it as I type. It’s NEVER dual with me…

Well this card just came to me when I was greeting creative with this card, reminds me of the little cards you got as a kid and it had the number of your birthday on it. I decided just to do 3 because of the 3 little Monkeys.

Beehive

Hello! So this card is an old card, and old colors, but I more wanted to share the pattern for the Bee hive since I haven’t share this card with you on the blog. This was a card from when I was off the grid and not posting for a long time. Alright, that’s it just a point of reference the hive is about 2 1/2” at it’s widest and about 2 3/4” long/tall

You might be about to print the first one and use as a pattern? 

But to let you know I drew on a piece of card-stock and then I  used 1/2” circle punch on the Daffodil Delight I cut it out and then embossed it then scored it to make it more realistic and then I sponged it for more depth. 

The card base is regular 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” score at 4 1/4” then I  took one once of the front side 

On the words, I stamped first them embossed.

Bunny HUH!

Okay so this idea came to me and I tried to adapt it to this punch, seems every year at Easter I see a cartoon with the bunny no ears or a bite out of the chocolate bunny who can’t hear well now or the Chocolate Bunny with a bite out of his butt. 

So this is where I started with the idea, now knowing that let’s see if you get it, my husband did NOT! LOL and as I’m deaf I think it’s kinda funny and hits home here. Well on this last photo I think you can see the bunny is embossed, that’s another of the three in the Exclusive kit. And of course one ear has a bite out of it. I also colored the ribbon with the dark flirty Flamingo Blends and it’s roughly 7 inches. 

I used the Alphabet Al a mode dies and Stylish dies for the rabbit to sit on a few layers some of the new DSP and gems. 

The rabbit head and one ear are up on dimensionals and the body is with liquid glue. 

 

Base 4 1/4” x 11” score at 5 1/2”

inside  white  4” x 5 1/4” 

DSP strip 1/4” x 4” 

 

Top:

This card goes with Monday’s Sushi Box, I just switched up the fish colors a little bit and made a card instead of a box. Double Flip Eater Card

Hi! Have a fun Double Flip Card today. Well we made it through a week of bunnies….. How did you like this week, with a theme? 

Okay so today’s card is gonna be different, but I think a fun different. So the inspiration on this card is kind of funny. A friend of mine has a Laser and we are always coming up with ideas or maybe I’m always sending her ideas. Whichever it is this was my inspiration it a door hanger I found on Pinterest, but had an aha moment and here’s the card following up at the end.

Alright, there you have it this is another view so you can see the two flaps, it’s a fun card. It can be made into anything. 

Base card: 4 1/4” x 11” score at 5 1/2”

Inside:

White 4” x 5 1/4” 

DSP 3/4” x 4” 

Little Strip 1/8” x 4” 

 

Top:

Under Flap 

DSP 4” x 5 1/4” 

White 3” x 4 1/2” **** Note this needs to be lined up under the flap to now show when flap is closed…. 

Top Flap:

5 3/4” x 3 1/4”  score at 1”  ****Note this  scored edge is glued to front of card at very top edge/making sure they are even before you adhere. Then you cover that score piece with the DSP and then little white piece.

Calypso Coral 3” x 4 1/2” embossed for texture or not your choose, mine is embossed with poise folder. 

White is cut with Scallop Contours Die

Bunny is punched with Bunny punch and then use the end of a new pencil eraser to make dots using the Calypso Coral ink pad. 

The banner is heat embossed with white embossing powder. 

Colors: 

Coastal Cabana C/S and regular marker

Calypso Coral  ink pad and C/S along with L/D Blends

Granny Apple Green L Blend under bunny and in neck piece leaves

About 6” of ribbon and use glue dots 

The Bunny head has a dimensional under it and the feet and tail attached with liquid glue 

 

I also added a few iridescent pastel gems  (160429)
